JHRTS-NY News & Updates: Oct 2015

The JHRTS New York chapter has had a busy month! On October 20th, the organization held a Mentor Launch Mixer to kick off the first year of the JHRTS NY Mentorship Program. Mentors and mentees, as well as the JHRTS NY Board, gathered at Rare Rooftop Bar to meet and discuss the future of the industry in New York. Over 30 top-level executives have volunteered as mentors.

The following night, JHRTS co-sponsored a mixer for the New York Television Festival at the Helen Mills Theatre. JHRTS members from New York and LA had the unique opportunity to meet with content creators at the festival.

Finally, JHRTS members had the chance to hear from one of the industry’s most experienced executives, Kim Rozenfeld. On October 27th, JHRTS hosted A Conversation with Kim Rozenfeld, EVP U.S. Scripted Programming at Sony Pictures Television. Moderated by executive producer Flody Suarez, members were able to participate in an open dialogue with Kim and Flody about the future of the industry, their careers, and the age old question: New York vs. LA.
