The Net Chiefs can sure draw a crowd!

Wow. I was just informed that the next HRTS luncheon, the return of our popular Broadcast Network Chief’s panel on October 26th is near sellout… and we’re still a month away! When we decided to bring back this event to the HRTS schedule, we figured that we would have a good response, but this has been off the charts. The first day that tickets were on sale, we set sales records for our online ticketing system. After a 2 year absence, I guess the biz was ready to hear from Net Presidents Kevin Reilly, Nina Tassler, Paul Lee, Angela Bromstad and Dawn Ostroff on the state of the broadcast biz. Thank you in advance to all of our panelists for their generous commitment of time to participate on our panel as well as our presenting sponsor, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Also thanks to NATPE.Content First for their support on this important event.

I’m told we are down to our last few tables so if you haven’t ordered your tickets yet visit and book them soon or you will miss out. Note: If you cannot attend personally all HRTS members can live-stream the panel right at their desktop. (non-members can also order the live-stream on the website)

Also wanted to update everyone on the latest HRTS Corporate Members. With the release of our new “scaled” Corporate Memberships, we now have options for smaller companies to join the ranks of HRTS Corporate Members. Among the recent companies joining the HRTS family are GSN, GK-TV and Pilgrim Films and Television. I have been talking to at least another 10 companies about joining the Corporate Member ranks and expect to be announcing several more in the next week or so. If you are interested in becoming an HRTS Corporate Member and joining companies like ABC, CAA, Lionsgate, AETN, Sony, the companies above and more in supporting the organization at this level, call or visit for more info.

On the upcoming event front, I expect to be announcing the lineup for our ever popular Hitmakers panel set for early December in the next few days so stay tuned.  Also mark December 7th on your calendar for the annual JHRTS (our junior org) Holiday Party benefitting Art of Elysium. A great party raising money for a great cause. Visit for information on all of the latest HRTS activities and initiatives and look for updated posts on HRTS In-Focus, our new blog newsletter.
